UK Premiere
Crying Sun tells the story of people of Zumsoy, a village in
Chechnya, and their struggle to preserve their cultural identity
and traditions in the face of military raids, disappearances,
attacks by guerilla fighters, and their resulting displacement.
The film gives a voice to the villagers and calls on local and
federal authorities to end the constant human rights violations
and provide a safe environment for the villagers to return to
their ancestral home.
