In December 2002, PDVSA, Venezuela's oil company, was the new target of a vicious campaign organised by the oil company's executives and the right wing opposition to withdraw from power the popular and democratically elected Venezuelan president, Hugo Chavez Frias. The oil company's bosses called workers to go on strike and paralysed the main source of Venezuela's economy. Many workers refused to obey and fought against the strike. In this film we see how workers, with the support of professionals from around the country, managed to survive the strike and to rescue 'The Brain of PDVSA'. 'Discussion' Filmmakers: Aimara Reques
